Why did we choose this place to situate an Apiary?
Kosharevo West Apiary, Spring time Apiary in the village Kosharevo West, early spring The Apiary is located about 2 km west of the village. The Apiary was formed in the summer of 2017 and we needed to explore the region in detail. There is a river nearby and gullies with a diverse vegetation bordering the hills, while the bees are located on a sunny spot in the middle. Although the Apiary is located in the land of the same village as our other Apiary, the microregion is quite different. The Apiary is located far from major roads, industries and pollutants, southerly at the foot of a hill.

Kosharevo West Apiary Currently there are 40 bee colonies. It is their first season in this place, for it remains to find out whether this number is correct for the region.
Are there any farming in the region and what is grown?
The region has predominantly meadows, gullies and hills. Near to the Apiary there are areas with lowering forage grasses and pastures. There are also fields in the region where mainly wheat and sunflower are grown. The agricultural fields in the region are less than 20%, of which a small percentage are blooming monocultures such as sunflower.
